Agony of Choice for the Right CMS and Provider
Today, we distinguish between online providers like WIX, Jimdo... classic CMS systems like Contao, Joomla, Typo3, WordPress, Webflow... as well as custom solutions. The selection seems large, but as the market leader and thus also with the best documentation, WordPress has made a name for itself with 50% of all websites operated. I myself have gone through the path from custom development to CMS systems like Joomla, Contao, and WordPress and today mainly see Typo3 and WordPress sites. The Typo3 sites I know are all made by professionals, mature sites with beautifully prepared content. So the system still seems to be good in the right hands today. All others have been or are being replaced by WordPress and newer CMS systems.
Mostly it's a cost issue, because Typo3 developers are rare and WordPress offers a simple and fast alternative. Converting mature Typo3 sites makes no sense in most cases. WordPress is generally a good alternative. However, AI is breathing down the neck of all CMS systems, and from my point of view, it could be the last generation of true CMS systems.
Why I switched to WordPress and largely recommend it today: It worked immediately. It had a large selection of extensions (plugins) and with DIVI, simple frontend editing was also possible. Some colleagues work with lesser-known CMS systems, but I myself have discovered advantages that I wouldn't want to miss.

Over 30 years ago, I started programming websites. For the first 10 years, I programmed completely custom sites in ASP and SQL. With my growing passion for photography, the creative side increasingly came into play. To implement ideas quickly and client-side, one quickly turns to WordPress and themes like Elementor or DIVI.
WordPress and DIVI ultimately remained because they are fast, simple, and very flexible. DIVI is one of the most popular WordPress themes and also scores well in terms of licensing. Furthermore, it allows for completely free design without having to buy and install additional themes.

Shop Systems with WooCommerce and Germanized Pro
When developing online shops, there has always been a huge selection. Mostly paid and never really simple. Therefore, it is not my interest to manage such systems. However, WordPress itself offers the possibility to create a shop with WooCommerce. This may not be comparable to other large and fully integrated shops, but it is simple and effective. For some time now, the DIVI Builder has also made it possible to individually customize each product or category page. The entire system is well thought out and can also be operated legally compliant with WooCommerce Germanized Pro.
WooCommerce is therefore the ideal extension for anyone who wants to expand their WordPress site with a shop.
You are the Operator
The main goal of my work is always that the customer must be able to operate the system completely independently. This applies to 95% of my customers. They are involved in the development process and can thus see live how the site is created and how they can make changes themselves. However, there are also sites that are created once and then function for a long time. Nevertheless, updates or small security or rights changes must be made from time to time. We have handled this quite simply and voluntarily so far.
It is not our interest to document and charge for every activity. I am a doer, for whom only the result comes first. Speed is what counts, and that is also the great strength of my working method. This can even be followed live in most cases.

As with all services offered, I also only offer support, provide training, or work for companies that, in turn, optimally serve their customers. Full service yes, but not necessarily. For example, we photograph for photographers or create websites for agencies. Conversely, we also have print products manufactured externally or outsource orders if we are unavailable ourselves. This way, larger projects can also be implemented together.
This type of work also creates a transfer of knowledge, which I consider extremely important. Transparency in work and the customer's understanding of how everything works is very important to me. Only then can a customer compare effort with benefit or become part of the project themselves.
