DIRSCHL Google Reviews
Free – Download, installation, and updates via dirschl.com.
Displays your Google review as a floating widget on the bottom left of your website and as a text shortcode within the page content. Data is retrieved via the Google Places API; results are cached.
Live example floating widget: On most pages of dirschl.com (e.g., homepage), you will see the badge with average rating and stars on the bottom left.
DIRSCHL Google Reviews can be deactivated on specific paths or individual pages, and text and CSS can be customized.
The plugin is already in use on several websites and has been prepared in its current version for automatic updates in WordPress plugins.

Installation (Step by Step)
- Download ZIP 2.0.7 (link above)
- WordPress: Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin – select ZIP and install
- Activate plugin DIRSCHL Google Reviews
- Open Settings → DIRSCHL Google Reviews
- Enter Google API Key and Place ID, save
- Activate Places API in the Google Cloud Console
- Test connection – if successful, name and rating will appear
- Activate Floating Widget (bottom left) and/or insert shortcode on a page
Automatic Updates
After the initial installation from dirschl.com, WordPress will report new versions under Dashboard → Updates or in the plugin list. Prerequisite: For each new plugin version, we provide a release ZIP and an up-to-date info.json on the update server.
