Burg Frauenstein

Burg Frauenstein is one of the most renowned excursion destinations in the Innviertel region, known across national borders. The castle tavern at Burg Frauenstein is open all year round, offering hikers, cyclists, and visitors from near and far a cozy beer garden, inn, event venue, and open-air stage.

Events take place throughout the year, and the Salzstadl is also suitable for weddings and corporate events. The ruin was brought back to life by the association "Lebendiges Frauenstein," and large parts of the complex are now in excellent condition.

Its location directly on the Inn River and the opportunity to walk and cycle across national borders contribute to making it a starting point for excursions into the Lower Inn European Reserve.

We have briefly and concisely presented all these points on the website.

More than just a website and photos

The website has aged and is now maintained by the operator themselves. Nevertheless, it is important to us because it was here that regional photo motifs were first used, contacts were established with Bad Griesbach and Rottal-Inn, thus connecting two significant tourism regions to today's culoca.com platform. Major events take place here, which we have also photographically documented: Castle Run, Halloween, weddings, and much more.

Burg Frauenstein is a tourist magnet in the region, connecting Germany and Austria, and is located at the junction of one of the most popular cycling routes in the heart of the Lower Inn European Reserve.
